Elizabeth Mitchum

Owner & Instructor
Elizabeth Mitchum grew up playing (quite literally) every sport imaginable from tee ball at age 5 to varsity athletics in high school. She actually started school to pursue a degree in architecture, but found out rather quickly it wasn’t for her. After searching for something else, she stumbled upon a degree in Exercise Science. She had found something she was passionate about and loved and has not turned back since. She graduated with her Bachelors degree in 2010 from The Ohio State University and went on to obtain her Master degree and graduated in 2014 from California University of Pennsylvania. She has been working in the industry since 2010 doing things such as personal and group training, corporate wellness, and now owning her own fitness studio! Elizabeth has a genuine passion to help others become a better version of themselves and loves putting her hard spent dollars on education to work and educating those that come into Brickhouse. Whether it be a nutrition question, an ache or pain that’s been bothering you, or a general where do I start my fitness journey, Elizabeth will be there to help guide you in the right direction!

Pam Kloepfer

Pam has been active from a young age, being involved in dance as well as soccer and basketball. Being involved in team sports all throughout school, group fitness was naturally very appealing to Pam, as a more fun and motivating way to stay active and fit. After finishing veterinary school, she obtained her first certification in Turbokick Live in 2012, and has since become certified in Insanity Live, PiYo Live, Les Mills GRIT, CXWORX and Body Pump. She began teaching at Brickhouse in the fall of 2013.  She is also working on her Personal Training Certification.

Pam is a veterinarian, and works in emergency medicine as her full time job outside of the studio. Teaching group fitness classes is her way to minimize the stresses from life in the ER, and a way to help inspire other busy professionals to realize that it is possible to be active and stay healthy despite a demanding and stressful career.

Courtney Wente

Hi Brickhouse fam! I’m Courtney and I have been teaching fitness classes for over five years. I am an AFAA Group Excercise Instructor, TurboKick Live Instructor, Les Mills BODYPUMP Instructor, and a Les Mills GRIT Coach. I also teach cycling here at Brickhouse 🙂
Before getting involved in group fitness, I stayed active through playing basketball. When that ended after high school, I had a hard time finding exercise that was enjoyable. It didn’t take long for me to gain a significant amount of weight. I was not happy with how I looked or felt. I decided to get out of my comfort zone (the elliptical) and try out some group fitness classes at my gym. Immediately, I was hooked! I loved the atmosphere and energy of working out with a group. After consistently participating in fitness classes that summer, I lost 30+ pounds and felt better mentally and physically. I decided I just had to become an instructor. I wanted to help people realize that exercise does not have to be a chore– it can actually be something to look forward to (in addition to improving your life in so many ways 🙂 !!
When I’m not teaching fitness classes, I work full time as a preschool adapted physical education teacher. It’s pretty much the best job ever, and I’m very lucky to love it as much as I do.
I so look forward to helping you reach your health and fitness goals! Feel free to friend me on Facebook and ask any questions you may have about any of the classes I teach! See you soon 🙂

She’s been doing spin ever since and decided to take the next step and become an instructor 3 years ago to hopefully help others enjoy it as much as she has. When she’s not pedaling it out at the gym, she enjoys playing soccer, practicing yoga, and playing with her puppy, Ellie.

Within a year, she was dying to get certified so she could be in front of the class pushing people the way she had been pushed. She is a High school English teacher, so she thought this would be a perfect fit.
